The Costa Blanca

With arguably the most amazing and beautiful coastlines in Spain, clean and sandy beaches, spectacular mountain views and all types of vegetation, the northern Costa Blanca offers a rich and relaxed way of life. Much time is spent outdoors enjoying the unique scenery and nature. The beaches are among the cleanest along the Spanish coast and visitors can choose between long sandy stretches of coastline, perfect for sunbathing, or the numerous rocky coves that punctuate the coast.

The valleys further inland host many idyllic towns and villages, where existance is still largely based on traditional agriculture, such as the cultivation of almonds, oranges, olives and grapes.

Infrastructure

The northern Costa Blanca is endowed with an excellent transport infrastructure with both the international airports of Alicante and Valencia under an hours drive away along the motorway, flights to the UK taking just 2 hours. Madrid, Barcelona and the fabulous skiing resort of Teruel and Sierra Nevada are also within easy reach. A regular ferry connection from Denia also means that Ibiza is just 90 minutes away.

An increasing number of younger families are moving to the northern Costa Blanca with the attraction of a better quality of life, and the key factor for many is the availability of international schools in the region, catering for educational requirements.

Health and Climate

There is an excellent standard of medical care including local hospitals, both private clinics and the Spanish state health service. Pet health is also catered for with the many veterinary clinics.

The weather is almost perfect with over 320 days of sunshine per year and average daily temperature of above 20°C. The World Health Organisation has nominated the area as one of the healthiest places to live in the world.
